How to get $IMX on Immutable zkEVM

But with a new network comes a new currency — the IMX token. This essential token will be your key to unlocking the wonders of Meta Toy City on Immutable Network, including buying the Genesis HeroZ.
As seasoned Polygon Network (MATIC) users, we know navigating a new blockchain might seem daunting. Fear not, Adventurers! This comprehensive guide will walk you through every step of buying IMX tokens, ensuring a seamless transition for your Meta Toy City adventures.
To access or create your Passport account and wallet
- Visit https://passport.immutable.com/
- Sign in or create an account by clicking “Sign In”.
- Use Google, Apple, or email for account creation. It is recommended to use the email registered with Meta Toy City.
- After signing up or logging in, you’ll arrive at the wallet dashboard where you can view your crypto funds and wallet address in the upper right corner.
Swap your MATIC into USDC by using Uniswap
- Visit https://app.uniswap.org/swap
- Connect your Metamask Wallet.
- Make sure the Network is Polygon, then choose MATIC — USDC pair. Input the amount you want and confirm the transaction.
Bridge using Layerswap in Immutable Toolkit
- Go to https://toolkit.immutable.com/faster-bridge
- Select Polygon/USDC — Immutable zkEVM/USDC pair and input the amount you want to bridge.
- Input your Immutable Passport address (can be copied from https://passport.immutable.com/).
Pro tip: Turn on “Refuel”. This will give you some IMX to pay for gas on Immutable zkEVM. Without it, you may need to bridge more funds to pay for gas!
- Select ‘Swap now’ then connect your Metamask Wallet and initiate the transfer.
Swap using Quickswap in Immutable Toolkit
- Move to the “Swap Coins” panel or go to https://toolkit.immutable.com/swap/
- Connect with your Immutable Passport.
- Select the USDC — IMX pair and input the amount you want and confirm the swap.
- After all is done, you can check https://toolkit.immutable.com/balances/ or https://passport.immutable.com/wallet/ to see your balances.
